Every code on CouponRise carries a trust score from 1 to 99. It starts from the evidence, drops as the last test ages, and moves with visitor ratings.

## Why a trust score?

Most coupon sites stamp every code “verified” or “100% working”. We would rather tell you exactly what we know: where a code came from, when we last tried it, and what visitors said. We sum that up in one number you can compare at a glance.

## Where the score starts

| Evidence | Label on the code | Starting point |
| --- | --- | --- |
| We entered it in a real basket and the discount showed, within 21 days | We tried it | 88 |
| Announced by the store itself or its official affiliate network | Posted by the store | 74 |
| Passed an earlier test that is now more than 21 days old | Due a re-test | 62 |
| Added but not yet tried in a basket | Awaiting a test | 38 |
| Most people who reported in two weeks said it was rejected | Visitors say it fails | 6 |

## What moves it

- **Age of the last test:** a week after a test the score starts to slip, by up to 18 points, because codes can stop without notice.

- **Visitor ratings:** once three or more visitors rate a code yes or no within two weeks, we add or remove up to 10 points by the share.

- **Our own codes:** codes issued to us by the store get 4 extra points because we know their source and terms; they are clearly marked, as we may earn a commission.

The result stays between 1 and 99, so no code is ever “guaranteed”.

## How we test a code

- Open the storefront for that country, in its currency.

- Add items that meet any minimum spend.

- Enter the code and check the discount line appears before payment, then cancel.

- Record the date, the discount and the real cap.

## Order on the pages

Codes are sorted from the highest score down. No store pays to rank higher, and commissions never change a score.

## Updates

We update the site daily: scores and dates refresh, ended codes move to the archive, and visitor ratings are counted.
