Most codes fail because they are for another country, for first orders only, for excluded items, or below the minimum spend; only a few fail because they have actually ended.

## 1. The code is for another country

Each country has its own storefront even under the same name. A UAE code won’t work on the Saudi store. Make sure the basket currency matches the code.

## 2. It’s first-order only

Stores check the account, phone number and sometimes the card and address. A new account with the same details won’t pass.

## 3. The item is excluded

Codes usually skip items already on sale, electronics, designer brands and gift cards. Read the terms or test on one full-price item.

## 4. The basket is under the minimum

Some codes start at a set amount before VAT, or after excluded items are removed. Add a small item and try again.

## 5. Another discount is already applied

Most stores accept one discount. If a bank discount or automatic voucher is active, the code may be refused, so work out which saves more.

## 6. The payment method doesn’t match

Bank codes only work with that bank’s card, and many fail through Apple Pay. Type the card details in.

## 7. It has really ended

This is where CouponRise’s trust score and last-tested date help: a code tried yesterday beats one untested for a month. If the store rejects it, tap “No” under the code so the next visitor knows.
